What We Do: The Investigation Procedure
The Pre-Investigation Questionnaire:The questionnaire (which can be completed online here) will arm our team with the necessary knowledge of what you are experiencing. This information is held in strict confidence by our members! To view a copy of our Confidentiality Policy, please click here. The answers you provide in completing the questionnaire will be reviewed by the Team Director and Case Manager. If an investigation is warranted, a case file will be created so team members may review the information prior to a scheduled investigation.

The Authorization Forms:
These authorization forms (which you will receive after your completed Pre-Investigation Questionnaire is received by SPIRIT) are necessary for permission and access to your property and will be fully explained to you at the time you sign them. Please know that we cannot proceed with an investigation without these completed/signed forms. This is especially important to note when you occupy the property, but do not own the property. The owner of the property will also have to complete these forms.

The Investigation:
Once the investigation is scheduled, we will arrive at the agreed upon date and time. You will need to conduct a walk- through tour of the property with our Team Director and Tech Manager upon our arrival, simply to point out areas of reported activity and so we can find our way around. When the walk-through is completed, our Tech Manager will know where direct the team to set up our equipment and begin preparation for the investigation.

The Analysis:
After an investigation, the collected data must be analyzed and reviewed by our Evidence Review Team. The results are then discussed between all members and a final review and assessment is made by the team as a collective. All final findings will be provided to you in the completed Conclusion Report.

The Conclusion Report:
The detailed Conclusion Report you receive from S.P.I.R.I.T. will contain all of our findings from the investigation, as well as the team's thoughts as to what we believe the evidence collected represents. These conclusions are strictly the opinion of S.P.I.R.I.T. based on what our team experienced on site during the investigation and any data collected that can or cannot be explained or dismissed. You will be provided with copies of any type of recorded findings captured by our team, such as video, audio, or photographic evidence, as well as the Conclusion Report itself. The Conclusion Report can be presented via email, mail, or in person at your discretion.
