All of our team members live, work, play and exist in the Sarasota community. S.P.I.R.I.T. strongly believes in and supports our local community, and attempts to convey this in every action we take. Below are some of the steps we are taking to make our richly historical and beautiful community a better one - for both the living and the deceased.

S.P.I.R.I.T. S.P.I.R.I.T. is strongly committed to the preservation and protection of burial sites and cemeteries from unwarranted and/or unauthorized disturbances, by man or by nature.
We believe that willful desecration or destruction of cemeteries is unacceptable in a civilized society such as ours. Cemeteries everywhere have long been plagued by the threat of neglect, insufficient funding for proper maintenance, unwanted or inappropriate development, or unconcerned public policies. Cemeteries constitute a memento of great achievements of the everyday people that lived and brought life into our communities, and contributed greatly to both science and culture, which ultimately lead to a better environment for those of us who follow in their paths. We try to highlight the importance of our history by increasing awareness and promoting the attitude of respect and reverence. It is important to encourage the preservation of our historical resources for all future generations.
S.P.I.R.I.T. Team Members donate one day a month toward cemetery preservation projects within our community, and enlist the help of any volunteers or groups in the area that wish to assist in preserving our heritage.
